New York University’s Department of History seeks to hire a scholar in the field of modern Latin American and Caribbean History at the assistant professor level for a full-time, tenure-track position. The department is particularly interested in scholars focused on subjects including, but not limited to, U.S.- Latin American relations, political economy and development, environment, Indigenous peoples, and the roles of race, class, gender, and/or sexuality. The successful candidate will be expected to teachundergraduate and graduate courses in Latin American and Caribbean history.
